Already volunteering and want to update their skills and obtain a nationally recognised qualification.

Course details

This qualification is focused specifically on the key skills needed to volunteer under supervision and can be used as a pathway to workforce entry. Volunteering is also a great way to contribute to the community and connect with others.

You may be required to undergo background checks to work in some organisations.

To achieve this qualification, you must complete 20 hours of volunteer work.

When you finish this course, you’ll be able to:

Develop a range of employability skills
Develop networking skills and contacts
Provide for care and wellbeing by volunteering in the school or local community
Discover your ideal career using a personality career matching tool
Provide basic emergency life support

Prerequisites: To apply for this scholarship, you must satisfy the following prerequisites:

There are no entry requirements for this course however some organisations may require you to undergo relevant background checks. These may include working with children and working with Vulnerable People cards subject to the state or Territory the vocational placement/work occurs.

You must be able to source your own placement to complete the volunteer requirement of 20 hours.
